Zoom. A poem by ieske poppers

Zoom in, reminisce
About days when we swam, ran and hugged
Nights when we danced and laughed til we cried
Plans that we made for the summer ahead
Before life became small and our world became

Zoom,
See your faces, your smiles and your tears
Hear your voices, connected
For a moment in a disconnected world
Dress up in our bedrooms, clink glasses alone,
but still we can

Zoom to remember
What made us so great
World of WhatsApp united us
When we still had actual time to actually meet
And now, we just wish we could

Zoom out of here
To the arms of each other
Clink our glasses for real
Get an actual hug not a
Virtual platitude
