The Garden. A poem by Richard Waring

No excuse not to weed now.
For at the moment, I am home from work.
So I pluck dandelions and nettles, burdock and stray grass
from the brick gaps and concrete
in our small back yard.
Now we have somewhere nice to sit, when the sun shines.
Away from the same four walls of inside.
