two apple trees
paint them she said

framed in silver
it is all I have left

  1. Beautiful and so deeply felt, a truly wonderful tanka.

  2. There is so much compressed into these few lines – joy & beauty, communication and love, loss and memory and art. A whole legacy of time, telling a story like a Chinese painting. You have captured this so well Maureen!
