Sailors, Boats, Warm Winter Coats. A poem by Darren Hood

I don’t mean to boast
But I do like a bit of coast
From the natural bent
Of pitching my tent
To the countryside rambles
And fields of brambles

Seeing sailors, boats
Wrapping up in winter coats
From the strong westerly air
To the living without a care
Too cold to swim?
Come on, get in!

From friends sitting, nattering
To photographs, sunlight flattering
The jigs and dances hand in hand
All above the golden sand
But my biggest desire?
The small country pub with open fire!

…………

Great to get outdoors to the Great Outdoors.
