Only Tears to Cry by Arthur Farrell

Time goes by so slowly,
As we isolate at home,
At least we have the TV,
And we have a phone

We keep in touch with family,
Far across the foam,
They ring us almost every day,
To ensure we are not alone

But for those who have no family,
No TV, nor a phone,
We must be sure to help them,
While this disease goes on

And when at last it’s over,
Let each one of us recall,
The things in life we should have done,
But did not do at all

It must have been heartbreaking,
Unable to say “goodbye”
To a loved one as they passed on,
Leaving only tears to cry
