Hourglass. A poem by BK

A mother,
Gifted with a daughter,
Youngest of three,
Relationship so special,
The way it is supposed to be.
As time moves faster,
Little girls grow up quicker
And mother can’t keep up-
Both struggling to know each other
As they both want time to stop.
But this world only knows how
to speed up.
Little girl so lonely, a mother is lonely too,
For neither knows the other,
Neither knows what to do.
Hands reaching for each other,
But time is spreading thin,
Two become one as time passes by,
Neither knowing.
