Earth Born. A poem by Medb Kiely-Cuddy

It’s like coming to earth.
My belly has grown soft and warm
Where once was toughened, toned muscles
Now grows a gentle and easy flesh
This flesh has not grown through brimstone
It has grown through space
and breath
and love
and home
Home inside me and home around
Here is where I plant my roots
Here is where my belly swells
happy in its own skin
