Death by Covid. A poem by Dane Ince

Covid Killed my wife
Months later
In the freezer
Open Hagen Das
Raspberry sorbet
Partially eaten
Plastic spoon rests there
Left eternally unfinished
As you have finished everything you could now
It was the last food I “made” for you
The first was caramel for strawberries
When I die the memory of your smile will be gone with me
But it will be eternal in the minds of readers
