Clouds. A poem by Geraldine Lowry

I sat and watched the clouds tonight
A thing I haven’t done for years
They moved from fluffy light filled pillows
To dark and gloomy filled with tears

Those tears are falling as I sit here
I feel alive but full of dread
Our world is changing, lost forever
As every Country counts her dead

But just as quick those clouds are parting
Those fluffy pillows reappear
And hope lies on that grim horizon
And hope it conquers all our fear
