Can you hear me now? A poem by Michael Killoran Ross

Can you hear me now?
The new constant
As we Zoom through
Our days and nights
Muted by accident
Technologically challenged
But determined.

Can you hear me now?
Like maybe you couldn’t hear me
Before all this
Even though I was shouting
From the rooftops
In the rain.

Can you hear me now?
If you can’t I would be very sad
Abandoned unheard.
I’m looking for my voice.
Can you hear me now?
