When I’m gone. A poem by Ieske Poppers

Scatter me in the sea
when I’m gone
For I’ll have no place
On this misfortune Earth
Let the waves take me
Far away from
The drama of life
Let the salt melt my tears
So that all I can feel is the
Bounce and the pull
The ebb and the flow
The peace and the cold
Let the dreaded jellyfish
Feed on my ashes
For i am only a guest
In their majestic home,
Let me make it my own
When I’m gone
