There Will Be Time. A poem by Jo Nolan

There will be time in the future
To do the things we miss
To give the children the biggest hugs
Now that would be sheer bliss

There are things I haven’t noticed
Like the jets that roared overhead
The traffic, the having to do this
or that, the papers I hadn’t read

I have had time to do jobs
I’ve left for months, no years
I’ve organised some photos
Now that brought laughter, and tears

There will be time in the future,
So, make the most of these days
Once it’s over, we’ll soon forget
The days that passed in a haze

Poetry has been a recent venture for me. I love words, so this is the time to put them together.
