Switch Off to Switch Off. A poem by Kristin Gray

The numbers kept increasing
Tension and anxieties grew
Did it serve a purpose, no
Living every socially distant queue

The numbers they told a story
Tragic though it it is
Images via media, gorey
But we still have life to live

So I turned the TV off,
And the radio too
I unfollowed social media posts
Left the optimistic few

Yes I know its out there,
Amongst society
I still of course take care
But the mind is much more free
