Six Feet Across, Six Feet Under. A poem by LB Sedlacek

While we wait
to be infected
we
ski
we wait to
be reprimanded for
you
not
doing your due
diligence
how
easy it is
to watch elevators
slide
up
slide
down
in a hotel
resort where slick
salesmen
talk about smelling
weed
and incense or
oil scents float
across
all of us
running from coughing
from
each
other
in hopes of
avoiding
other
humans
how much easier
it would be
to sleep and
forget
