Missed vocation. A poem by Siobhan Lunn

I should have been a rapper
But I’m white and middle class
Didn’t want to be like Honey G
And blow smoke out of my ass

So what’s with all the rhyming you say?
Couldn’t you find something else to do?
You’re torturing me with shallow verse
When I could read something meaningful and true

Well don’t worry too much about it
This rhyming’s not forever
When quarantine is lifted
I’ll only ramble in the heather.
