Coronavirus Shopping Spree. A poem by Paul Jeffcutt

4 rashers bacon
1 egg
1 slice cheese
1½ loaves bread
6 pats butter
⅛ pot jam
15 tea-bags
½ bag sugar
3 pints milk
¼ pound margarine
½ pound minced beef

* Rationing took place in the UK from 1939 to 1954. This represents the typical rations for one adult for one week.
