Corona Catastrophe. A poem by Katie Lewins

We are all stuck indoors,
Scrambling for masks,
Trying to fight the virus
and doing what Leo Varadkar asks.

Everyone is bored and lonely,
Long walks and baking,
This might ruin our summer
so we won’t be escaping.

Occasions have been ruined,
People are getting worried,
But we all need to be patient
because this virus can’t be hurried.

The GardaĆ are everywhere,
Making sure people are being smart,
Because at the end of the day
we all have to do our part.

I am currently a first year student in Creagh College.
