Test, a poem by Liam Flanagan

This is a test like no other we have
faced before
A test of our resolve and to be the best
man women or child we can possibly be
To understand our health is our wealth
and money is not that important in the
bigger scheme of things
A test of our ability to empathise with others and put old differences aside
To come together as a society and global
community to defeat this the most heinous of diseases
An acknowledgment we are all vulnerable and strength can be found in numbers
And finally to keep all the doctors and
nurses in our hearts and our minds
As they put their lives in danger
While fighting this battle on the front
lines
