Remote, loneliness, illness, isolation –
Those are some words this virus brings;
Every human on our earth is vulnerable,
Hope for a cure a lone child sings.
Wisdom and courage we seek from our elders;
Innocence and acceptance is what children bring –
We, adults, need to practice patience –
To ensure our world keeps rotating.
Everything still on standby,
The foreseeable future we cannot predict.
But stand together, help, support, listen, educate;
And the virus our lives will not for long constrict.
An excellent poem by my niece in Ireland.
