two apple trees
paint them she said
I look at them now
framed in silver
it is all I have left

Maureen Weldon lives in N. E. Wales. She has published five chapbooks her latest Midnight Robin published by Poetry Space, her poems have appeared in many poetry magazines, journals, anthologies. Recently published in Crannog 52, Spring issue 2020.

  2. There is so much compressed into these few lines – joy & beauty, communication and love, loss and memory and art. A whole legacy of time, telling a story like a Chinese painting. You have captured this so well Maureen!
